Denim Insulation

Denim insulation is a fantastic product. It has been growing in popularity for very good reasons. But why should you consider using denim insulation? What are the benefits and the down sides to using denim insulation in your home?

Here are just a few:

1. It is energy efficient. The R-Value of denim insulation is very good and keeps your home warm and saves you money.
2. It has great acoustical ratings. On average, denim insulation has an acoustical rating that is about 30% higher than its average counterpart.
3. It’s eco-friendly and relatively healthy for your home. Denim insulation is usually made up of about 85% recycled denim materials, which is great for the environment. And besides not being itchy like fiberglass insulation, it is generally low,no VOC

But now the down side – Cost. It costs about twice as much as the average insulation. But if you are able to handle the initial cost, denim insulation is a great product that I would love to see more of!
